January 28

1. Shauna calling me to go to the RS dinner at the church. I was dragging my feet but going with Shauna and Colett made it fun.
2. The inspiring man that spoke to us. What talent and courage!
3. Coming home to Jayne cuddled up to Jason asleep.
4. Jayne is okay. I have been having serious visions of something happening to her. I have to watch that cute girl every second and keep her safe!
5. The Holy Ghost.

Thursday

January 27

1. I get to make breakfast for my kids every morning.
2. I get to be here when they come from school.
3. I get to make dinner for them, drive them to school and all their activities, and help them with homework every night.
4. I get to say prayers and tuck them into bed every night.
5. I get to be a mom!

January 26

1. Going to New Beginnings with Emilee. What great YW leaders she is going to have. It was fun to see her a little nervous and very excited.
2. The Bishop's talk about our responsibility to our future generations. It really touched me to try a little harder to be a better mom and more faithful in all I do.
3. Seeing Katy, Erin, & Alyssa and what incredible Young women they have become. I love them.
4. Another Roast at the bottom of my freezer.
5. The Bishop being willing to speak to us in RS on Sunday. Whew!

January 25

1. My Mom brought over Cafe Rio for lunch and we got to catch up.
2. Freshly painted toe nails and smooth feet. My mom also gave me a pedicure and I was just looking at my feet today thinking how awful they were.
3. Ty's burrito and chocolate milk incident and Shawn telling us " She's going to get me."
4. The courage and faith of the pioneers and the lessons they continually teach me.
5. Jason is home safe from snowmobiling!

Monday

January 24

1. Melisa is pregnant!
2. Staying home with Lucy today because she has an earache.
3. Brooke for being so kind to share her medicine.
4. No meetings. Getting to stay home and watch the Colts as a family.
5. Trying a new enchilada pasta recipe and eating hot poppy seed cake with cream. YUM!

January 23

1. Getting my hair cut and colored.
2. Brooke and her happy attitude.
3. Texas Roadhouse hot rolls and cinnamon butter.
4. Getting to sit through Max's game all by myself.

January 23

1. Having Max come home early from school to brighten my day. Someone poked him in the eye with a stick so he got to come home and spend the afternoon with me. We went to Juice Press and talked. He turned my lonely day into a great one. I Love that boy!
2. Jason doesn't have to pour concrete out in the snow everyday.
3. Staying home tonight eating left overs and watching a good new movie while the kids all played happily.
4. The major snow storm we had tonight.
5. Our big green bean bag.

Friday

January 21

1. Staying in my pjs and baking all day. I made yummy homemade bread, tried out making lots of different flavors of butter, and made a delicious tortilla soup.
2. When my kids get home and can take a turn with Jayne so I can get things done. This girl is a handful. She climbs everything, gets into everything, and makes the biggest messes, not to mention falls every 5 seconds. Oh do we love her!
3. Reading in the Book of Mormon about how the Lord is so aware of his children and leads and guides them in all that they do.
4. Abbie's cute short haircut.
5. My back hasn't been hurting today.

January 20

1. My computer is fixed. Thanks Chris!
2. Taking to Melisa always brightens my day.
3. Jason got tickets to the Cougar BBall game and took Em and Max.
4. I can buy groceries for my family.
5. My panini maker, or should I say my mom's. I gave her one for Christmas and she let me "borrow" it back. I've had it ever since. I love it and use it all the time.

Wednesday

January 19

1. Jason stayed home and ate breakfast with us this morning.
2. Jayne woke up extra happy this morning. I loved sitting on the floor and rolling the ball back and forth with her, she couldn't stop giggling.
3. Cafe Rio for dinner.
4. The ride home from school everyday with everyone telling about their entire day all at the same time.
5. Listening to my kids pray.

Tuesday

January 18

1. A day to stay in my sweats and clean with the kids. I am the meanest mom in the neighborhood because I made my kids do some serious cleaning this morning.
2. My frozen homemade pesto in my freezer that I pull out often.
3. Jason's lesson for FHE.
4. Making spaghetti and homemade meatballs for dinner and then watching "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" for family night all cuddled up on our bed.
5. Jayne's warm footie zip up jammies.

1. My kids helping this morning to get us to church on time.

Saturday

January 16

1. My Dad! ... His humor, his kind heart, and his common sense.
2. Max playing tough in his basketball game today.
3. Taking Pizza up to Wallsburg for lunch.
4. Being lazy and watching Legends of the Fall on t.v. this afternoon with Jason.
5. Staying home with the kids tonight and watching the Colts game, drinking Juice Press smoothies and watching Max and Jason play catch all night.

January 15

1. Having a day that everything went wrong over with!
2. Jason coming to my rescue with the picture for my Dad and the CD.
3. Jason's level headedness when I become a lunatic.
4. Going to dinner with My parents and Brothers for my Dad's birthday.
5. Watching spy games for the first time last night in the basement.

January 14

1. Having a whole day with Jason at home even if he was under the weather.
2. Lucy started dance again today with Silly Millie.
3. Abbie trilled that she got her splits all the way down...finally.
4. Getting to stay home and make homemade chicken noodle soup and rolls today for my fam.
5. A dishwasher. I swear I load it a million times a day- we must eat a lot.

Thursday

January 13

1. Feeling like a new woman.
2. The sunshine. It felt so good to get out in it today.
3. Living in this great Land! My heart is sick for all of those suffering in Haiti!!!
4. Funny stories by Linda Curry.
5. That Jason doesn't get sick very often.... but when he does watch out - he gets sick! I have passed on my horrible flu to him and he doesn't take being sick very well to say the least. I swear I saw a glimpse of what he would look like in his casket tonight - white as a ghost and practically dead. And then of course he moans and wants me right by his side at all times. This stinkin' flu has hit us all pretty hard except for Jayne....cross your fingers. I am not sure I am up for that. I just want to open all the windows in the house and let it out.
6. Having the will power to eat healthy today.

Wednesday

January 12

1. The 24 hour stomach flu only lasts 24 hours.
2. Indoor plumbing.
3. A hot bathtub.
4. Jason!!!! He would reach out and rub my arm after I would get back in bed after throwing up in the middle of the night. He asked me at 5:30 if I wanted him to stay home from the Gym to be with me. Then he got all of the kids ready for school, made breakfast (thinnys no less) and stayed until he had everyone gone and happy and Janye to sleep for her nap. It was so fun for me to listen to him getting everyone ready with all the patience in the world. He kicks my butt at being a mom. Then he called to see how I was doing and headed home to do all of my carpooling from school, dance, scouts, etc. And then of course went and got pizza for dinner. What would I do without him? Jayne was driving me crazy today and wouldn't stop crying. I didn't even have the energy to lift my head off the pillow and only her daddy could make her happy.
5. Having Abbie to lay right next to me all day because she was throwing up to.
6. Notes, cards, and play dough hearts cut out by my kids and Lucy rubbing my feet.
7. Heather keeping Lucy to play all day long.
8. American Idol's Season 9 has officially started!
9. Jason helping the kids clean up the house and rewarding them with a big Nerf gun war downstairs. And of course they all played until after 10:30 pm. - their Dad was in charge. Jason looked so cute wearing his Jazz sweatband.

Monday

January 11

1. Spending a day with Em. She stayed home sick today but wasn't too sick so we went to Lunch at Dough Boys and Flour Girls.
2. Dinner together all around the table.
3. Playing 1 on 1 basketball with Max after school.
4. Knowing that there is a tomorrow and I can all start over and do better.
5. Watching the Food Network channel with Emilee.

January 10

1. I survived another Sunday.
2. Board Meeting Done.
3. When I got home from all of my meetings Jason had cleaned up the DIRTY kitchen.
4. His love and Support.
5. Listening to Craig give us his talk and the story about his Grandpa who told him he could build anything.
6. Getting to tuck my kids into their beds at night. I love being a Mom!

January 9

1. Going to Max's 1st Flash BBall game.
2. Jayne is so good in the car and loves to go along anywhere. (She is 11 months old today.)
3. Jason's kind and loving comments.
4. Jayne didn't really cry tonight while we went out.
5. No phone calls from the kids during our date.

January 8

1. Watching "My Sisters Keeper" in bed with Jason.
2. Healthy Children!!!!!!
3. The humor in Ward Basketball.
4. Late night Kneaders with Jayne and Jason.

Friday

January 7

1. Being sealed to Jason in the temple. Tonight we went to a wedding and it made me very grateful for the knowledge that Jason and our family will be together FOREVER! We reminisced about our wedding day 13 1/2 years ago. Fond and funny memories. The best decision I've ever made and I'd do it all again to be with him!
2. Jayne took a 2 1/2 hour nap today and I got a lot done.
3. All dirty clothes are off the laundry room floor.
4. Shauna Carter. I guess Lucy had an accident in her pants today over at the Carters and Shauna cleaned her all up. What a friend. I think I would have sent her home and told her to never come back.
5. Trusting my kids to take care of each other when we are away.

Thursday

January 6

1. A day to catach up on laundry and get things done.
2. The Book of Mormon. I am trying to read the whole book in 2 months and am loving it.
3. When everyone tells me how much they love dinner and actually eat it all.
4. Jason's happy & positive attitude when he gets home each night. He can always calm my nerves and make me feel better.
5. Jason and Max going to the BYU basketball game together.
6. Sitting upstairs reading with Emilee and Abbie.

January 5

1. Matt. We went to lunch at Carrabas today for his birthday. It was fun to be with him and my family. Matt just finished his school requirements and is looking good. I really hope this year will be a good one for him. I love him!
2. Getting back to a schedule and routine.
3. Going to bed with a clean house.
4. Seeing my Max in his scout shirt.
5. Family prayer.
6. Walmart is open 24 - 7. I had to have a late night run for a binki tonight. We lose them daily.

January 4

1. Ellie
2. Getting the Christmas put away.
3. My Lucy!! I had the worst dream about someone taking her last night & I still can't get over it. When she walked into my room this morning I held her so tight and was SO grateful for her cute little personality and spunk in our home!
4. Having Max home today from school sick. I'm not grateful that he was throwing up again but just that I got to spend the day with him. I loved talking to him, fixing him lunch, and having my little buddy around. He helped me make a TCU (purple) jello for tonight's big Fiesta bowl game. I played him one on one BBall out in the cold in my clogs and Jayne in arms. Of course he whipped me. He is getting to be a good little ball player!
4. Going all by myself to Jason's game tonight. And watching the TCU game after with the kids. Em made cookies of course.

January 3

1. My lesson is over and I survived.
2. Jason and I made it through our 20 meetings from 6 AM - 8PM
3. Emilee's help on Sundays! We could never do it without her!
4. Coming home from Welfare Meeting at 8:20 and finding Abbie and Lucy in the tub by themselves washing their hair and getting ready for church while everyone else was sound asleep.
5. Teresa for coming to get our kids tonight for dinner while we went to our Trek meetings.

January 2

1. Getting all of my RS manuals done. Em and Ashley's help.
2. Jason's patience and help with all of my RS projects this weekend!!!!!
3. Mississippi Mud Brownies.
4. Knowing that tomorrow will be over soon.

January 1

1. My fun, happy, and amazing sister Jamie.
2. Going up to the cabin to snowmobile and sled with the kids.
3. An easy going and loving mother in law.

December 31

1. Looking back and remembering 2009. The good the bad and everything in between. Starting it off not being able to walk or sit. Then February 9 brought more happiness then we could have ever imagined! Our little Jayne has filled our home with the sweetest spirit and JOY! She has made this year the happiest year of my life! It has felt so good to know that I have my 5 kids all here and healthy. (Our family feels so perfect right now ) It has been so much fun to have a new little baby again and to watch how much everyone adores her, especially her dad. She has brought this family so much happiness and love! And then we will never forget this year for the SLOW down of work and the constant stress of money. Looking back over the past 12 months I know that it will be a year that we will never forget!
2. Going to lunch with Em and Lucy to Juice press and then to the mall.
3. Going to dinner with Jay to the Chef's Table.
4. The Rockin' Party at the Nelsons. Dancing and watching my kids have the times of their lives. Ringing in the new year with a toast and a kiss with my hubby.
5. Another year of good health, happiness, and spending everyday with the ones I love. Here's to 2010!

December 30

1. Puff pancakes with my kids.
2. Getting a massage and an adjustment on my back. Hope it works miracles.
3. Jason pulling all 5 kids on the sleds behind the 4 wheeler. Seeing them all bundled up and smiling from ear to ear.
4. Coming home tonight to a clean house and dinner dishes all done.
5. Great counsel and wisdom from the Brethren... past conference talks.

December 29

1. Snow clothes to keep the kids dry. They go on and off 100 times a day.
2. Lucy and Abbie getting their snow clothes on at 7:00 a.m. to head out for a little early morning sledding together.
3. Being able to lay down in the morning while my back is hurting and not having to rush to get the kids ready.
4. Late nights and not worrying about bedtime.
5. Bishopric Dinner at Goodwood. Sweet Chicken and watching Jason & his wisdom.
